Social Responsibilty

Committed to being a responsible business.

Why are we committed? Because it matters to us. We have grouped our social responsibilities into three key areas: Martketplace, Workplace and the Community.

We have a responsibility to ourselves, our colleagues, the business and to those we interact with. We also believe that improving our understanding and delivery of our social responsibilities is important to sustaining our success and in improving our understanding of the local and national markets and communities we work in.

We also have a responsibility of being a good employer and ensuring that we are attracting and retaining people from the widest possible pool of talent for both our internal staff and those that we present to our clients. We also believe in investing in the future by helping to improve the skills and aspirations of young people regardless of background.

gm recruitment are proud supporters of the halow project, an amazing charity based in Guildford dedicated to creating creative opportunities and supporting young people with a learning disability aged 16-35. The charity strives to ensure that the supported young people are able to lead independent, meaningful and fulfilled lives with the same life choices and chances as any other young person.

The halow250

Through its support of the halow project, gm recruitment have become involved with the organisation, sponsorship and participation of the annual halow250 cycle event. The charity challenge is a circular route of 250 miles set over 3 days, starting in Putney the 120 riders make their way to Portsmouth before heading over the channel for day 2 and a gruelling 120 miles. The ride finishes on the third day with a route back from Portsmouth to the home of the halow project in Guildford. Now in its 5th year the ride has raised in excess of £370K for halow project and is now the single largest money raising event in their calendar. George and Mark our two directors are both keen cyclists and have embraced the halow 250 event, over the years they have also encouraged a number of clients to become involved in what has become a permanent fixture in the calendar.
